Text Copy and Paste 2 instances behave as one???

Have a text object. Copy. Select a different video track, position cursor, Paste.

I now got 2 text items identical in all respects.

Edit the newer one to change the text.

Had wanted to duplicate the originals font/size/color and just edit the text to say something different.

Is this a bug or a feature? And if the latter what makes it useful?

Is there a way of doing what I want, its just so much faster, than starting a new text object and then changing all the setting to match the other one.

Right-click the initial text clip in the bin

COPY

Right-click an open area of the bin

PASTE (Clip)

Change the text on the (1) clip and drop it onto the timeline

Do this as many times as needed
