Very new to this and I cannot get my video to play on the screen to be able to capture and record? Obviously something very simple, There seems to be no basic instructions

Hello,

Sorry are you trying to capture video and sound? If you are using recordpad for this it will not work. RecordPad is an Audio Recording software and it does not record video. If you need to record video you will need a program such as Debut which is also from NCH Software.
