Green + for keyframes not working

I'm trying to add a pan/zoom to a clip and I can see the effect animation editor window. But the GREEN + button at the top seems to be grayed out. Clicking it does nothing. So I can't add a keyframe to set the start and end of the zoom. Help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

The version of VideoPad: 8.23.

Pan and Zoom don't work quite that way - a graph can't be plotted.

Select the START frame. Then drag the box and it's handles to where you want it to begin.

Select the END frame. Drag the box or its handles to where you want to end.

Click in the PRESET field and a drop-down box offers many choices. Experiment.

Thanks. I think I've figured it out. I should have been using just Zoom in order to set keyframes, right?
