Adding live links to other videos on-screen (also by me)

RussDouglas222

Morning all, I would like to add (one or preferably two) windows within my video, containing live links to two other YouTube videos in my profile. I've seen a previous thread on this topic here, which said not possible - but this was three years ago?

I've seen this done a lot on other videos, e.g. here (https://youtu.be/ck9nM8dVZU4?t=781) where a friend recently added a live link to my channel as some friendly cross-promotion (returning the favour). He also has live SUBSCRIBE / LIKE -buttons on-screen, several friends have this on their videos, I hope I'm not simply using the wrong software?

I really want to be able to do this! 🤞

Cheers. Russ

Pretty sure this cant be done. 🙁 Why not suggest it?

This isn't a function of VP. Check this out, along with similar tutorials. Search for "How to put a live link in a YouTube video."

@Nationalsolo Thanks I've now suggested it, I'm pretty disappointed such functionality is not already possible on Videopad.

Also after submitting my suggestion, I was invited to sign-up to the version update newsletter, I clicked Sign-up ...but was taken to a black screen (with a small empty white wireframe box in the centre) with no functionality!?! Slightly disappointing.

@[deleted] That link's dead too? Is this functionality within YouTube itself then?

Yup, within YouTube. Try the above link once again.

As for the newsletter, no problem with what was presented here...and it confirmed that you have been signed up.

Thanks Nat

I'm struggling now to follow those instructions. I looked-up "adding a clickable link in youtube video annotations" in YouTube to try to help, and found this video: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=soZOr25vK-k

But my YouTube 'home page' looks nothing like the Creator Studio in that video, how do I access Creator Studio?? R

RussDouglas222

This is what my YouTube Studio looks like, I see no VideoManager??

I tried following this video (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lZxPC_mu138&feature=youtu.be) but see no YouTube beta either????

AH-HA - FINALLY (i can see there are many other folk struggling to find this too!) This has told me how to find it...>>> https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=u3fgiiGWGXs&feature=youtu.be

This isn't a VP issue. Best to check out YT FAQs and forums. Start here... https://support.google.com/youtube/answer/2887282?hl=en

Sorry @[deleted] I got a bit off the subject there.

So Videopad can't add these hyperlinked items, YouTube can - but YouTube Creator studio is pretty messed-up, grrrr.

Thanks for your help.

Cheers. Russ
