Rearranging clips in sequence overwriting instead of inserting

Videopad editor, rearranging clips in sequence is overwriting instead of inserting other clips.

Is this a bug in the software or is there a way to fix this in the settings?

I even make sure I have those arrows indicating they will move the current clip over and it still will overwrite it( delete/replace) the clip immediately after the newly placed clip.

Reinstall Videopad repeatedly, testing the behavior each time until it inserts. No need to download again. This may take a number of tries but installing is very quick.

The same-numbered version has several slight variants. It's not a bug, but it can be confusing.
