How can I make the software record music from the PC instead of the mic? Sorry I'm new

I'm new to this and I have downloaded software to make my music but the software will only record external sources. How do I change this so it can record what i make on my PC? Thanks in advance

Could you explain in detail what you are trying to record? To select a particular device to record from, from the left panel you will see the tracks > click the wrench icon > under recording options, select the audio device you want to use to record > click OK
