Audio & Video Effects Greyed Out

Just paid for, downloaded and registered VideoPad. Am mid a project. Want to include some stock audio clips. I used this feature already, but now it is greyed out. So are video effects. Any idea why?

Odd. Save your project, then restart VP and reload it. You also might try a reinstall. Come back here if that fails.

I have the same problem. (I have used Video Effects previously, but it is now greyed out.) I want to change the speed of a clip.

I've tried restarting etc. You suggest a reinstall, but we're told we can only use our registration key once, so isn't that a problem?

Close the program. Relaunch it and before loading any projects or files, go to OPTIONS | DISK tab and Clear Unused Cache Files.

You can install and/or register any number of times. Try this release. Or reinstall the one that you bought. Even without a valid license, newer versions can always be test driven.

For licensed users upgrades are free for up to six months from purchase date. After that, VP will continue to fully function but a fee will be required in order to register the newest. Retain your old install file and registration info.
