No Sound

[deleted]

I downloaded Switch Plus for the Mac. I'm running a Dual 800 QuickSilver G4 Mac 1 Gig of Ram Mac 10.4.5 I purchased a song on itunes and wanted to convert it to MP3 the process seemed to work BUT when played it had no sound.

Song Called "Why" from Ann Lennox File Size of MP4 4.6 Megs

Converted MP3 file size is 4.5 Megs

What am I doing wrong?

I would guess that it is because it is a download from iTunes. That is a proprietary format that can't be played elsewhere so I am assuming it cannot be converted, because if it could, then you could play that anywhere. Apple is too smart for that.

I experienced the "convert" but the files have no sound just the same as Don. Does anyone know how I can convert sound on my Mac iBook G4 from m4p to mp3 so that my mobile device can actually playit?

guys you really need to read up about DRM , online music stores do not let you purchase music from them in a format that you can convert and port elsewhere, they have to encrypt them in order to comply with legal guidelines issued by the record companies. If they did not encrypt the files, then they would be massively sued by record companies and would shut down very quickly.
