Songs edited in WavePad play in iTunes but not on iPad

Songs play in iTunes on laptop but play with no sound on iPad. Other songs play fine. These songs were saved as MPEG-4 audio file m4a

Thank you for contacting us and if the files are playing fine on your computer but not in the iPad could be that either the files you are loading on the iPad are corrupted or empty. Could you tell us if you are trying to play the files on WavePad or on iTunes on the iPad?
