Buffering incomplete on timeline

Hi, Why is it that buffering does not complete for some clip on a tracks timeline. Using ver 6.29, large video file, two tracks, re positioned and overlaid describes my project. Even if I certainly give it much time to complete, buffering does happen on some segments of the track but I get no buffering on another. At the split it just stops. Thanks for your help. Peter D

Despite an incomplete green line, the program may still function normally. Considerable caching improvements were made in later versions.

Even in later versions of VP the green line sometimes stops when there are many clips being cached. No idea why (as caching still seems to be happening) but often, just placing the red cursor over the clip that has stopped gets it going again. (Just drag it along and see if it continues) Puzzling...as is the order that audio files are loaded to the timeline. :wacko:

Your image pretty much confirms what Nat has said, and is seen here from time to time as well. Don't think it's of crucial concern.
