Joe_O I need some suggestions on how to mask background noise and increase foreground audio. It's video of an outdoor conversation with live music being played nearby. I need to hear the conversation better and decrease the music. I've tried to use the noise reduction feature without much success. Any tips would be much appreciated.
borate Equalization may help. And the file can be exported to Wavepad, where more audio options exist. After fixes are made, import back into Videopad. If you share a sample of the file someone may come up with better suggestions. Upload to a free server, make the link public and post it here.

borate Fear that, because the soft voice is embedded in the music, little can be done. Hi-pass and selective equalization may help, but not much. It can be tough to compensate for poor mic technique.
