The VOB files would occasionally play at the start, then freeze.
After being converted to AVI the project loaded to about thirty minutes, but there were large gaps, which is apparently where your missing material went.
We'll continue to pursue this with the developers.
Tested six different converters and none created files that matched the length of the VOBs as seen in Videopad. The issue, it appears, is the files themselves.
If there is an alternative method or format for extracting the files from the DVD please try it and submit the files here.
How "everything looked good" to you originally is a true puzzlement. _
