preview does not match the position of cursor on clip/sequence

Hi,

I'm a new video editor user trying to create a small family video from VOB files (after converting video tape into digital format). Everything went easy at the beginning, but at some point Video Pad started to play only time part of the whole file, and I cannot force it to play up to the end.

The strange this is that images shown in preview panel are NOT in sync with cursor running on video file below preview window. Cursor is moving over images different from shown in preview window.

Could you please advise how to fix it?

I installed Video Pad video editor Free v 7.02.

Please upload the file to a free server, such as Microsoft's OneDrive, Google Drive or Dropbox. Then share the VOB file and paste that link here.

Someone will check it out. Suggest that you install the latest version of Videopad. If you purchased the one now running, save the installer file.

The latest VP is 7.10, with a link to 7.11 beta above. Try a rebuild of the project using that version and see if the problem eases.

Some VOB issues have been corrected. Report results here. The issue has been reported.

Checked out your new version. No improvement.

Seeing how media players handle the original VOB files, my guess is that the fault lies with the download from the source.

Be that as it may, you can use VOB files that have been converted to mp4 files, which Videopad appears to play in full and in sync.

You likely did nothing wrong. Suspect the problem occurred when converting the tape to digital. To aid the developers, please explain how was that done?

I had the same. Using v6.32. Nothing to do with VOBs in my case. Tried several times and first everything works ok but after the first split there is no sync.Very frustating!

It's best to start a new thread, giving specifics on exactly what is being done. A good way for others to help is to see your project just as you do. It's easy...

If it contains sensitive material you can link it in a personal message (PM) to me, via the envelope above. Be sure to FILE|SAVE PORTABLE PROJECT AS, not simply SAVE PROJECT, and don't forget to share it.

Also you might want to try the latest version. The 6x series is dated. For licensed users upgrades are free for up to six months. After that, VP will continue to fully function but a fee will be required in order to register the newest.

The big number of versions tells me that your software is buggy. And you want me to pay for the latest version? Just to find out the next bug.
