Unable to Convert a WMA file on Mac OSX

Hi,

Just downloaded the latest Mac Version (1.05) of Switch, but I am unable to convert an unprotected file to MP3.

Anybody else having problems with this?

Yep, same thing just happened to me. Switch simply won't do what it's supposed to. Glad I tried the free version. I added the wma file to switch, set it to mp3, hit "convert," and it gave me an error message directing me to the support page for nch.invisionzone blah blah blah.

I am also VERY DISSAPOINTED is there ANY way a mac user can listen to these WMA files???

Hi, I have solved the problem. Go to http://homepage.mac.com/major4/index.html

With ffmpegx you can convert wma files to mp3 for ipod use. I use OSX 10.4.4

I have the same problem too - which is off since Dave Taylor clearly shows conversion of WMA to MP3 on OSX (http://www.askdavetaylor.com/convert_mac_wma_audio_files_to_mp3.html) using Swift. What gives?

I also linked off the Dave Taylor site and couldn't convert WMA to MP3. However, Switch doesn't claim to be able to do this on their software support site. "Music Man" was another program recommended by Dave Taylor, which works nicely, but you can only use it for a short period of time (fine with me b/c I only had a few songs that needed converting.) I'm using OS-X 10.4.5

Yes. I responded to a similar thread already. Bottom line if you read the fine print Switch does not support .wma files in the MAC version even though the main advertisement on the WEB site would lead you to believe otherwise. I am disapointed.

Yes, it does. Look:

You've all either got screwy filess, or don't have the Flip4Mac Quicktime WMA plugin, but why wouldn't you have that if you're working with WMAs?
