Two seperate files mixing together

I am a Newbi.

I need to record a voice file and a music file seperately, and then mix them

together with the WavePad Sound Editor Masters Edition. I am creating a training CD or DVD, for my real estate consulting class. The music file will serve as background music for the voice - over. How do I go about doing that? :unsure:

Have you tried the option Edit->Mix File?

i'm trying to create a song for a 6th grader that died of brain cancer

i can't record both the vocals and the music all at once so this is totally helpful
