Stereo or Mono

As I record a "Mono" recording from my old cassette deck, onto a new file in Wavepad:;

if I have the Wavepad Options >General> set to "Stereo" will WP seek to somewhat

simulate a "Stereo effect"? or will it record it "as is" which is "Mono"?

Hi,

This will be recorded as it is, however, you could use WavePad to modify the recording and save it as Stereo. Once you finished the recording, from the top menu click on File > Save File as...select the format, click on Save and use the Stereo option to confirm you will like to use/set it as stereo.

By saving (or modifying) it as stereo, do you mean I may add something new

(like a harmony vocal for e.g.) to it?

Or do you mean Wavepad will seek to give it a "Sense" of stereo sound by applying

some type of stereo effect to it?

In this case WavePad will simply copy the mono channel to both left and right channels.
