On the program Soundtap you may go to Options > Devices and select the input device you would like to record from. If you are recording what plays through your speakers then you may want to start the playback program or application first and then launch Soundtap. Make sure the right recording device is selected in your Windows Audio settings, you may right click on the Speaker Icon on your computer tasks bar and select Recording devices and then select the option What U Hear or Stereo Mix.
