This can be done but with specific conditions. NCH Software treats licenses as single-computer installations. To use it on two computers without buying a second license, you must keep the program installed on a primary host computer and access it from the second via the built-in Web Access feature.
How it Works
- Host Computer: Installs the desktop application and holds your main master account/database.
- Second Computer: Connects to the host computer through a standard web browser or the Express Invoice Web Access interface.
Key Features of Web Access
- Real-time Sync: Both machines share the exact same data, allowing you to seamlessly create invoices, track payments, and view reports from either machine.
- Multi-user Permissions: You can create separate logins with specific restrictions (e.g., administrator vs. basic user privileges).
Requirements to Note
- Host is Always On: The primary computer must remain turned on and connected to the internet/network to accept connections from the second machine.
- Cloud Option: Alternatively, if you don't want to leave a main computer running, you can use the Express Invoice Sync Device Options to link multiple devices via a Dropbox account.
