You can right click on the preview window (sequence or clip preview) and choose the current frame as thumbnail. The thumbnail only works in VideoPad.

Thumbnails are normally not come with the video and depends on the application to choose a frame as thumbnail.

Please be aware that a video file's thumbnail is not set during edition or with VideoPad in any way. The thumbnail is set by Windows, so since the NCH Software support scope is limited to the program, please contact Microsoft for thumbnail support.
