HELP PLEASE adding text titles in VideoPad v4.05

I can't get the text input window to open. Click on the big T+, goes straight to preview window and tools with no possibility to enter the text.. Any ideas? Big thanks guys.!!!

Please click on the empty box on the preview control panel. Which the red arrow is pointing at below:

Another point is click outside the box to update the thumbnail in the media list as well as the thumbnail on the sequence line if you have added it there.

IMHO It is also best to always update the text by clicking the media list thumbnail, if you try updating using the sequence list thumbnail,in clip preview, the media list thumbnail may not update with the changes.
