When you make a change to your invoice design, it will carry through to all past invoices, but I haven't seen a way to make a global change to specific info such as customer zip codes. Even though it can be frustrating, it's a good thing! What if the customer moved and you needed to change the zip? You wouldn't want it to go back and change all the previous invoices.
