Very slow to render video

OUTLAW

Hi , Im looking for a video editor to put toget some simple cut and shut clips with video transistions and audio fades.

Just downloded the Videopad software to give it a test out, Ive layered 4 videos together with a front and back splash image ... nothing complicated ... total video time 5 mins and Im exporting in 1080 YouTube mode.

Its taking forever !! been going for well over 1 hour and i still saying 52mins left .... this cant be right 2hours to export avideo of 5 mins .... how long would it take if I started to add multiple effects !!

Anyone else having the same problem ?

OK ... it would seem that reducing the audio quality from the default highest setting to 192 bps and reducing the video size to 480p or 720p brings this in a lot quicker about 30mns on the 720, and 10mns on the 480.

Smaller files will render more quickly in most cases. What are the specs of your system? 8Gb RAM and a multi-core CPU, with a mid-higher end video card may be required for video editing.
