How to make Scarlett 2i2 work with Wavepad

I am trying to connect the Scarlett 2i2 audio interface with Wavepad. Just setting the correct recording input source has not worked. Wavepad either does not recognize any input (Audacity reads it just fine with same setup) from the interface or mic.... or it tries to record at some odd astronomical rate. Has anyone successfully connected the Scarlett 2i2 to Wavepad? How?

Never mind! By resetting everything to how it once worked... and starting all over with the Scarlett 2i2, and with the helpful email support from England, the Scarlett 2i2 is now recording nicely into Wavepad.Sorry for the bother... It does sound pretty good, by the way.

Same problem with my Scarlett Solo 2nd gen, I guess the interface recognizes the mic, but wave pad doesn’t. What should I do?
