Clip goes blank when changing clip speed

Whenever I try and change clip speed it will play part of it and go blank. For example I have a 2.5 second clip that I want played at 50% speed (effectively making it 5.0 sec) it will only play the 2.5 sec of the slowed footage and go blank for the other 2.5 sec

It's a bug that needs fixing. It's odd how something that worked fine in an earlier version like 2.41 suddenly doesn't work properly in a later and supposedly "better" version.
