Next Version?

Does anybody know what plans/features/fixes are being planned for the next version? 3.04 is pretty good, but some things still need improvement.

There may be some GUI improvements:

Quick-access toolbar added to the main window, providing quick and easy access to some common actions
The effects dialog will be much more easy and intuitive to use and will allow you to rearrange effects

Also there may be some changes to the way that video sequences are edited in Timeline Mode, which should make it much more intuitive, less destructive and just plain better.

You could expect the next Windows version to be released in the next month or so.

Leveraging OpenCL (parallel processing on GPUs) would provide a huge increase in performance, significantly improving both final export and can make preview work smoothly at full resolution if the sink is coded well and is highly scalable to take advantage of high end gaming video or even GPU cards (such as NVIDIA Tesla and similar cards) intended for supercomputing. CUDA would provide even higher performance, but then the software would be married to NVIDIA and would not take advantage of the GPU cores in i5 and i7 processors (nor AMD/ATI GPUs)
