Cannot add video clips with version 3.01

Hi,

Used free user version 2.12 a few times with no problems. Just loaded free user version 3.01 and I cannot add any video clips. The clip appears in the clip preview window and states 'generating thumbnail images' but then a pop up states 'abnormal execution error' and asks if I want to submit an error report.

Any ideas please ?

Well..Submit an error report and revert to version 2.41.

If you loaded and kept the original vpsetup.exe file for your earlier version (and not simply run it from a website), then unistall the version you are currently using or drag all the NCH VP folders to the dustbin including any desktop shortcuts. Now re-load and run the old vpsetup.exe file.

I have done this several times whilst trying out V3.0/01 and it seems to work OK.
