Wavepad and Mixpad integration - Copy/Paste waveform

Am I doing something wrong? I feel like I should be able to highlight part or all of a waveform in wavepad, copy it to the clipboard, and paste it onto a track in mixpad. What am I doing wrong? Thanks for the help.

In my experience it is better to paste the selection into a new Wave Pad file and save it ie: 'clip.1'

Then that file can be loaded into MixPad. There are various advantages to doing so, but some things are better learned thru experience... Good Luck.
