I am trying to attach a soundtrack to a lightroom slideshow so I can send to to distant family members.
I have recorded a soundtrack using the voice memo capability of my iPod. This results in a .wav file.
Sadly Lightroom does not support .wav files. It does support mp3, m4a and m4b files
Lightroom can play any .mp3, .m4a, or .m4b music file as a soundtrack to a slide show. Music plays as the slide show is viewed from within Lightroom or exported as a video.
So, since I have a copy of Wavepad, I tried this to convert the .wav file to m4a
The file associated OK, and played successfully in an ad hoc slideshow, but when I try to save the slideshow to video, the process crashes.
If I convert the original .wav file to .mp3, the slideshow will not even play in adhoc mode.
If I use a preexisting .m4a or .mp3 (from my music collection in iTunes) everything works fine. This points to the problem being within the conversion process carried out by Wave Pad. I have tried a number of different options in the SaveAs process to no avail.
Yes I have also raised this within the Lightroom forums.
Any suggestions?
