I recommend using the NCH program 'Golden Records'. This program is designed to connect to a USB turntable or hook up through your stereo to record Vinyl records, CD's, Cassettes, Reel-to-Reel. You can set noise filters, normalizes the volume and detects slience between tracks. You can save your files to a wave or mp3 formats. Also you can use your DJ mixer as an interface to your computer. Once you have your recording on your PC then you can pull them into MixPad for adding effects or mixing audio together. You can also use WavePad to edit the audio to further illiminate any noise or add effects.
