Messenger does play sounds when I receive a message, but when this error occurs, there messenger sounds are out too.
I would not know if I could reproduce the problem with the mouse as it happens about once a day and is a split second push on the pedal when someone messages me. I don't think I could physically time it in order to purposely reproduce this error.
