Are you talking about the hotkeys not working in the software?
Have you got any other applications open that would use the same hotkeys that express scribe does?
If you have other apps open with the same hotkeys, these will take over express scribes hotkeys and make them not work.
The most recent program that started up with the mapped hot keys will be the ones that take control.
Restart the computer, then only start scribe, and check that the hotkeys then work for you.
