I think what you want are time-stamps. (Bookmarks are for jumping backwards and forwards in the audio.)
To paste the current playback position into a word processor as a time-stamp:
- In Express Scribe, in Options -> Hot-Keys, add or change a hot-key and map it to the "Copy Time" command.
- In your word processor, press the above hot-key combination (to copy the time-stamp to the clipboard), then Ctrl+V (to paste it into your document).
